Bandits 2B Trujillo Out
Sunday, August 14th, 2022
The Montreal Bandits were dealt a severe blow when Wilson Trujillo was hurt throwing the ball recently in a game against the Washington Federals. After the game, the team trainer reported Trujillo might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 30-year-old second baseman out for the rest of the season with a damaged elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Trujillo at least 7 months to heal.
This year Trujillo is hitting .315 with 20 home runs and 77 RBIs in 116 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .369 with 38 walks and 88 runs scored.
