Guillén Week's Best Player Monday, August 8th, 2022 26-year-old Daniel Guillén sent shock waves through ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Guillén made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .533 average, 16 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBI. Where the Manhatten Beach Patriots second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Guillén certainly made his mark last week. This season in 63 games Guillén is batting .288 with 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and has scored 29 times. |
