Deal: Cox for Mata Monday, July 25th, 2022 The Psychos and Danger pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 38-year-old closer Ánibal Machado, 29-year-old starting pitcher Tony Green and 26-year-old minor league third baseman Bob Cox head to Duke City in exchange for 27-year-old left fielder José Carlos Mata, 23-year-old minor league starting pitcher Mehdi Bayle and 21-year-old minor league shortstop Jorge Molina. A source close to Pax River officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." For the year Mata is hitting .250 with 13 home runs. His stats include 70 RBI and 43 runs scored. |
