Week's #1 Player: Georgia's Bowles Monday, July 18th, 2022 27-year-old Mike Bowles sent shock waves through ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Bowles made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .579 average, 11 hits in 19 at-bats, 1 home run and 9 runs batted in. Where the Georgia Grays left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Bowles certainly made his mark last week. This year Bowles is hitting .329 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs in 92 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .392 with 37 walks and 65 runs scored. |
