Earthquakes Pitching Ravaged by Feliciano
Wednesday, July 6th, 2022
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Paco Feliciano after his 5-hit performance against the Earthquakes. "No offense meant to San Francisco, but it was like I was back in little league again. I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Golden Gate Park." The Mile High second baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and pacing his club to a 13-4 victory. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Paco worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Feliciano said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Paco Feliciano singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season Feliciano has hit no home runs and posted a .429 batting average.
