MR William Howard Hurt Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 The Duke City Danger were dealt a severe blow when William Howard was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Dallas Texans. After the game, the team trainer reported Howard might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 29-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Howard at least 12 months to heal. This season he has made no relief appearances, collecting no saves. Howard has worked 92 innings, yielding 102 hits and giving out 20 free passes while striking out 56. He has a 5-3 record with a 4.30 ERA. |
