Ouch! Manuel Rivera Shelved by Injury Sunday, June 26th, 2022 The Georgia Grays were dealt a severe blow when Manuel Rivera was hurt being hit by a pitch recently in a game against the Jersey Jesters. After the game, the team trainer reported Rivera might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old catcher out for the rest of the season with a broken bone in the elbow. They indicated it would take Rivera at least 5-6 months to heal. So far this season Rivera has gotten 47 hits in 204 at-bats for a .230 batting average with 6 home runs. His stats include 35 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 58 games. |
