They have just concluded a trade with 26-year-old starting pitcher Walt Lawson, 23-year-old minor league starting pitcher António Medrano, 19-year-old minor league reliever Manuel Sánchez and 31-year-old minor league center fielder Mario Rivera going to San Francisco in exchange for 29-year-old starting pitcher Ramón Vázquez and $2,260,000 in cash. His all-time numbers show Rivera is carrying a .260 career batting average with 96 home runs and 321 RBIs. Currently Vázquez has a 5-1 won-lost record in 8 starts with a 3.29 ERA. He also has 55 strikeouts in 52 innings. |
