Maple, South Carolina Trade Players Monday, May 23rd, 2022 The Marauders and Bombers confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Maple will get 31-year-old starting pitcher John Martin and 28-year-old first baseman Adrián Ortíz, while South Carolina will receive 22-year-old starting pitcher Ramu Pavi, 24-year-old minor league starting pitcher Chris Hastings, 29-year-old minor league center fielder Bill Nelson, 19-year-old minor league closer Srinivasan Shubhashish and 20-year-old minor league starting pitcher Loeck Jurgens. During his career Nelson is hitting .287 with a total of 74 home runs. This year Ortíz is hitting .259 with 7 home runs and 17 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .343 clip and scored 23 runs. |
