Hit Streak Over, Federals Stop Reader Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 After 30 games, Kyle Reader had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Washington at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . The Hops left fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Reader seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as San Diego took a 5-4 victory from the Federals. Reader didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." Currently Reader is batting .371 with 4 home runs and 66 RBIs. |
