Torres Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 Big day at bat for António Torres of the Jesters: 5 hits, but no victory cigar -- his team lost the game. Nevertheless, the Jersey second baseman did all he could do with 5 base hits in 5 tries, but not enough to overcome the Kansas City Tornadoes. They triumphed over Jersey 11-5 at Debris Field. António Torres singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year Torres has hit .323 with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
