Maruyama Sidelined for 6 Weeks
Tuesday, September 7th, 2021
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Seitaro Maruyama of the Mafia knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Manhatten Beach Patriots while colliding with a player at a base. Because of a strained oblique, the New York right fielder is expected to miss 6 weeks. Maruyama was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
Maruyama is batting at a .311 pace this season, picking up 170 hits in 546 at-bats with 32 home runs, 109 RBIs and 105 runs scored.
