Washington Reliever Out Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 The Washington Federals were dealt a severe blow when Shawn Turnbull was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Duke City Danger. After the game, the team trainer reported Turnbull might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a herniated disc. They indicated it would take Turnbull at least 2-3 months to heal. This year his stats show Turnbull has no saves in no relief appearances with a 5-4 record and 5.01 ERA. |
