McKenzie Has Hot Hand, Bangs 6 hits Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 William McKenzie exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Blue Ivy Stadium. The Brooklyn third baseman had a field day in the 21-8 triumph over the San Diego Hops, finishing with a 6-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, McKenzie must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. William McKenzie singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year McKenzie has hit at a .330 clip with 52 RBIs, 7 home runs and 45 runs scored. |
