Thompson on Fire, 5-8 Against Washington
Saturday, June 19th, 2021
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Portland second baseman Pat Thompson said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-8 day against the Washington Federals at Waterfront Park. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Beavers had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 11-7. Pat Thompson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 10th, grounded out in the 11th, hit an RBI single in the 13th and flied out in the 14th.
A look at his current stats shows Thompson with a .376 average, 1 home run, 29 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has played in 56 games.
