Red-Hot Waller Scorches Earthquakes Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 Who needs batting practice? Martin Waller of Seattle apparently doesn't as he battered San Francisco with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 13-5 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Martin Waller hit a two-run home run off Vaughn Lewis in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Hitting .323 to date, Waller has 5 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 50 games. |
