Portland's Holmes Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, May 10th, 2021 At the age of 27, Nick Holmes might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Portland right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .500 batting average. For his efforts Holmes collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run and 5 RBIs last week in 6 games. This season Holmes has hit at a .447 clip and produced 29 runs batted in, 8 home runs and 28 runs. |
