More Woes For Republic John Carder Monday, May 3rd, 2021 A bit of bad luck has fallen on the So Cal Republic today as they learned that third baseman John Carder had suffered a setback in his recovery from a strained oblique and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 5 days.
