Kent Goes 5-8
Wednesday, April 28th, 2021
It was a sensational day at the plate for Jeff Kent as he led the charge to a 7-6 win over the Hornets. The Mile High right fielder was pure misery for the Eureka pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 8 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Hornets told BNN reporters after the game, "Kent put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Jeff Kent doubled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, singled in the 13th, struck out in the 15th and singled in the 18th.
For the season Kent is currently batting .345 with 1 home run and 8 RBIs. In 22 games he has reached base at a .396 rate and scored 10 runs to date.
