Mal Tosewell Out for 8 Months Thursday, March 18th, 2021 Watching Mal Tosewell getting helped off the field today at Spring Ballpark, fans of the San Diego Hops feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 8 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Tosewell suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Texans. |
