Blandford Fined by League After Tirade Saturday, August 19th, 2023 Buffaloes manager, Ryan Blandford, was fined by the league for his angry rant during a press conference two days ago. Blandford, who verbally assaulted reporters gathered for the post-game Q and A session, avoided suspension. He will, however, be forced to pay an undisclosed fine as punishment for his actions. "It's fair", commented Blandford after the decision was handed down. "Honestly, I'm very lucky I didn't get suspended for what I said." Blandford, who was much more gracious and civil with reporters today, took full responsibility for his previous behavior. "My actions were stupid and unforgivable," he added. "Frankly, I'm embarrassed that I let myself lose control like that. You guys were just doing your jobs. I apologize to anyone who witnessed that ugliness. And not just the media, but the league, the organization, and the fans. I'll try to keep it together better next time." |
