PL Votes Marines Watanabe Top Player Monday, July 10th, 2023 It was a fantastic week for Chiba Lotte catcher Hisanobu Watanabe and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Pacific League Player of the Week Award. Last week Watanabe hammered the ball at a torrid .533 pace, going 8-15 with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This season Watanabe is swinging the bat at a .297 rate with 60 hits in 202 at-bats. To date he has hit 9 home runs, scored 38 runs and driven in 40. |
