Toiguchi's Strong Week Earns CL Trophy Monday, June 26th, 2023 It was announced today that Yomiuri second baseman Motonobu Toiguchi had received the Central League Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week. All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .556 BA (10-18), 1 home run and 5 RBIs. Looking at his stats this year, Toiguchi has compiled a .438 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 10 runs. He has played in 8 games and scored 6 runs. |
