CL's #1 Player, Puri of Yomiuri Monday, May 22nd, 2023 It was announced today by the Central League that Yomiuri first baseman Anujestha Puri had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Yomiuri first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .320 average (8-25) with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year Puri is batting .355 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs. |
