Xiu Rips ORIX for 5 Hits Sunday, August 14th, 2022 Feng-xiang Xiu really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Sea Hawks Stadium, the Yokohama center fielder blistered the ORIX Buffaloes for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 23-12 victory. "Xiu was too tough to get out today," the Buffaloes skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Feng-xiang Xiu flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Joji Masuda in the 8th. Thus far in 2022 Xiu is hitting .353 with 6 home runs, 31 RBIs, 18 runs scored and has compiled a .398 OBP. |
