Super Swinger -- Jiménez Slams 5 Hits Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 Paco Jiménez put on a hitting clinic today as the Lions dumped the Fighters 26-6 at Ballpark of Hakui College. The Saitama Seibu first baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Hokkaido Nippon-Ham pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Paco Jiménez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Katai Koyama in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Noboru Kuwabara in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
