League KO's Golden Eagles-Lions Players with 4-Game Suspensions Saturday, July 16th, 2022 Kwan-yew Cong of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and Kiyomitsu Sugiyama of the Saitama Seibu Lions received official notice today from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended 4 games for their roles in the on-field disturbance in a recent game at Sailboats Ballpark. For the season Cong has hit .224 with no home runs and 6 RBIs. He has played in 17 games and scored 10 times. This season Sugiyama has recorded no saves with a 3-0 record. He's made 10 relief appearances, tossed 16.1 innings while fanning 17 with a 2.76 ERA. |
