Golden Eagles Vemireddy Named PL's Best Pitcher Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 There's something about a young rookie winning the Pacific League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Adhipa Vemireddy, a 17-year-old starter for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. In May, he topped off the month with a 4-2 mark and 1.82 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 39.2 innings, fanned 59 and held opposing teams to a .150 average. Up to now Vemireddy has recorded a record of 8-4. In 16 starts he has fanned 150 batters in 96.1 innings with a 2.34 ERA. |
