CL Names Carp Ding Winner Monday, May 23rd, 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Central League, but last week Xuan-ling Ding of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ding rocked opposing pitching for a .400 average (6-15), 3 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. Ding is batting .234 this year with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 128 at-bats. |
