Mis'kov Torches Marines for 5 Hits Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Jurg Mis'kov got one today. He scattered hits all over Ballpark of Nasu College to pace Hokkaido Nippon-Ham to a 17-8 victory over Chiba Lotte. The Chiba Lotte skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Mis'kov hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Jurg Mis'kov walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ren-qing Moy in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Kazushige Tada in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season Mis'kov is batting .278 with 44 hits, 8 home runs, 34 RBIs, .375 OBP and has scored 37 runs. |
