Vuppula Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, June 19th, 2021 The number just keeps getting higher and higher. Giants second baseman Apupa Vuppula has now extended his hitting string to 37 games. He did it with 2 hits in the Yomiuri 6-2 win over the Carp at Ballpark of Yamagata College. Apupa Vuppula walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the year Vuppula is batting .402 with 102 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 56 times and driven in 42. |
