Alamdar Swings for the Cycle Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 At Rebels Ballpark today Abid Alamdar led Fukuoka SoftBank to a 10-7 victory over the Swallows by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's most difficult feats. The Hawks center fielder told reporters after the game, "Most people think the triple is the hardest one to get, but today, it was the homer... because the ball wasn't carrying. When I took it deep, I expected the ball to die on the warning track. Seeing the umpire give me the signal to circle the bases was sweet." In addition to going 4-5, Alamdar chalked up 3 RBI and scored 1 run in an exceptional performance. Abid Alamdar struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Dipita Subramanya in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
