Ong Sizzles -- Smokes Swallows for 5 Hits Sunday, March 7th, 2021 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Saitama Seibu's Chong-Duy Ong had a very special day against the Swallows when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Saitama Seibu Lions to a 16-1 win at Field of the Chariots. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Ong said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Chong-Duy Ong hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Dipita Subramanya in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. |
