Martin Chosen LBL's Best Pitcher Friday, June 9th, 2023 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Gabin Martin performed like a veteran on the hill for the London Monarchs and walked away with the Lester B. Person League Cy Young Award in the process. The 19-year-old Monarchs star fashioned a 7-2 won-loss record in 2023 with a 1.62 ERA. In 83.1 innings of work and 13 starts, Martin struck out 130 while giving up 56 hits and 28 walks. He held opposing batters to a .187 average.Hugh Bowness of the Montreal Royales finished second in voting, while Hervé Muller of the Montreal Royales finished third. |
