LBL's Top Player Named Monday, May 1st, 2023 The Lester B. Person League presented its Player of the Week Award to Kelowna Heat second baseman John Oakes. "His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well." Indeed, Oakes has. Last week he went 12 for 22, batted .545 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. Oakes is hitting .456 this year with 28 home runs and 69 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .533, 31 walks and scored 70 times. |
