Oakes Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 John Oakes collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Kelowna Heat, beat Calgary 8-6. After the ballgame, Oakes quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking." John Oakes struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. In this current campaign Oakes is hitting at a .446 clip with 26 home runs and 61 RBIs. |
