Bad News for Monarchs, Jiménez Injured Sunday, May 16th, 2021 Earlier today, London reliever Juan Jiménez had to leave the game against Kelowna because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn back muscle and will miss 4-5 months of play. Jiménez was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. So far this season, Jiménez has a 3-3 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 29 relief appearances, logged 42.1 innings and fanned 50 batters while fashioning a 4.89 ERA and allowing the opposition a .251 batting average. |
