Rivera 7-8 for Trois-Rivieres Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 7 hits in 8 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Rubén Rivera of the Trois-Rivieres Saints had a sensational game against Victoria at Blue Wings Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 42-4 shellacking of the Capitals. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Rubén Rivera singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this season Rivera is batting .372 with 8 home runs. |
