Rod Dedeaux League Top Hurler Announced Sunday, May 21st, 2023 21-year-old Fred Price of the Long Beach State 49'ers put together a good year in 2023 for such a young player. Price was named today as the winner of the Rod Dedeaux League Cy Young Award. Price crafted an impressive 10-0 record and a 2.33 ERA. In 73.1 innings he allowed 50 hits, struck out 93, and walked 12.Nate Chapman of the Baylor Bears finished second in voting, while Richard Lawson of the Fresno State Bulldogs finished third. |
