Braun Chosen #1 Player Monday, March 27th, 2023 Dave Braun must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .379 pace, then the USC right fielder finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Rod Dedeaux League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Braun quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for Braun. He hit .379 average (11-29) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs. Looking at his season stats, Braun has compiled a .325 batting average and a .382 on-base percentage, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 17 runs. |
