Vance Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023 It was high-5 day at Canaries Ballpark, at least for Ernest Vance of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the South Illinois Salukis. Vance smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 9-7 win. His manager said, "Ernest was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Ernest Vance singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Rosales in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 10th. So far this year, Vance is batting .390 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
