Vanderbilt's Don Lowe Injured
Thursday, April 28th, 2022
The Vanderbilt Commodores learned that Don Lowe is likely to be out for 9-10 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Tennessee Volunteers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Vanderbilt manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Don is back in action."
This season Lowe has chalked up no saves, notched a 4-2 record with a 6.00 ERA, allowed 49 hits in his 45 innings of work, struck out 43 and walked 22. Opponents are hitting .277 against the Vanderbilt hurler.
