Stanford SP Ricardo Estrada Injured Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 After the end of today's game between Stanford and Rice, Ricardo Estrada skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Cardinals had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The starting pitcher will miss at least 6 months with bone chips in his elbow. This year Estrada has a 4-1 mark in 8 starts with a 3.12 ERA. He has given up 36 hits in 49 innings, struck out 54 and issued 17 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .207 batting average against him. |
