Jackson Smashes 3 Homers for Cal State Fullerton
Monday, April 11th, 2022
Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Bruce Jackson of Cal State Fullerton can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Hartford College Grounds against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
In all he was 4-5 as the Titans toppled Fresno State 15-6, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 4 times.
Jackson told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."
His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."
Bruce Jackson singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Phil Sturge in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Darryl Muir in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Kyle Church in the 7th.
In the current season, Jackson has put up a .333 batting average with 43 hits, 14 home runs, 38 runs batted in and scored 29 runs.
