Seminoles Reliever Boyd Injured Saturday, April 9th, 2022 The Florida State Seminoles will have to make do without Richard Boyd for 4 months. He suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Florida Gators. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the reliever. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." His stats sheet for the year shows Boyd has managed to hold opponents to a .333 average in 12 relief appearances, while putting up 1-0 record with 16 strikeouts and 3 walks in 12.2 innings. He has a 7.11 ERA with 1 save. |
