7-Game Suspensions for McClellan-Hernández Fight Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 At a recent Owls-Bruins contest at Toughkenamon College Fields, Darby McClellan of Rice took exception to what Octávio Hernández of UCLA said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 7 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." Thus far this year McClellan has hit .176 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. |
