He hurled the Alabama Crimson Tide to a 7-0 shutout victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, yielding 3 hits with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Georgia Tech skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." |
