Hit Parade: Manuel Pops 5 Hits Friday, March 11th, 2022 The Cyclones were defeated 11-10 today at Forney College Grounds by the Salukis, but you can't say Juan Manuel didn't give it his best try. The Cyclones right fielder came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Manuel and a tough day for Iowa State. "I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." No plan or not, Manuel delivered today... 5-6 is outstanding in any league. Juan Manuel singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In his season totals Manuel has no home runs and a .545 batting average. |
