SBL Awards Player of the Week Monday, April 5th, 2021 19-year-old Ernesto Torres made a few Clemson headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Skip Bertman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .370 average. Torres collected 6 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Batting .284 to date, Torres has 10 home runs and 28 RBIs. |
