Willard and Rivera Suspended 7 Games
Friday, March 5th, 2021
Bad blood could be brewing between the Horned Frogs and the Golden Bears. In yesterday's contest at Dingoes Ballpark, TCU's Kendrick Willard and California's Marcos Rivera caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Willard and Rivera were ejected by the umpires.
Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 7 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses.
League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation.
This season Willard is batting .333 with 5 hits, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs, .444 OBP and has scored 2 runs.
